About the jobfactory

Jobfactory is a social enterprise based in Basel with its own business areas in production, services, and trade . It offers young people from Basel and the surrounding region training and jobs in various fields, thus assuming social responsibility .

Within the jobfactory group, the Job Training Foundation is responsible for work-related instruction and socio-educational support .

The foundation’s work areas include:

  • candles
  • textile printing
  • Sew
  • Furniture assembly
  • Packaging

In these areas, a wide range of in-house products are manufactured and various services are offered.

Position: Sports Director for the Motivational Semester

Workload: 1 morning per week (approx. 3–4 hours)
Wage: 25 CHF per hour
Start: Immediately or by arrangement

Your tasks

  • Conducting physical education classes: Leading sports activities with a focus on teamwork , motivation , and physical fitness . The necessary infrastructure is provided by the job factory.
  • Motivation and support: Accompanying participants in their personal development , promoting their self-efficacy and creating positive experiences through sport.
  • Individual support: Adapting exercises to different performance levels to ensure inclusive and safe teaching.
  • Documentation & Communication: Regular coordination with the responsible teachers of the motivational semester.

Your profile

  • Professional qualification: Studies in the field of pedagogy , sports science or a comparable course of study, ideally with sports pedagogical experience .
  • Experience: First practical experience with adolescents or young adults , particularly in the field of education or motivation.
  • Social skills: empathy, patience, enjoyment of working with young people and the ability to create a motivating learning atmosphere.
  • Personal responsibility: Independent planning and implementation of lessons.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to the individual needs of participants.
